Hi Folks,

thanks so much for sparing your valuable time.

I am looking to build a new gaming rig, as my old on is severly outdated and I wanna get back into it after a few years with my PS4.

The following components are what I consider to be the best for my budget, however I am severely at loss about whether it REALLY is the best and also whether it will work properly. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Already bought:
Graphics Card: ASUS Geforce GTX 1070Ti Cerberus (was a gift and I wanna use it)

Everything else is up for discussion:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X, 8x 3.60GHz boxed, no fan
Fan: EKL Alpenföhn Brocken 2 (+ installation kit)
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB SATA (or 1GB)
Mainboard: MSI B350 Gaming Plus
RAM: G.Skill »DIMM 32 GB DDR4-3200 Kit - 2*16GB
Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 10 CM 600W
Tower: Nanoxia Deep Silence 3

That should be all - please enlighten me if I forgot anything.

Once again, I was absent a couple years so I really need your help - thanks 🙂)

You really don't need 32gb ram. 16gb is plenty. Power supply Seasonic Focus Gold 650w, or a G2/G3 Evga 650w. A ryzen 2700x, and B450 would be better, and it comes with a pretty decent cooler. SSD, I would go with a crucial mx500, if it is cheaper.

Thanks so much for your quick answer.

16GM it is then.

I compared the Seasonic Focus Gold 650/ G2/3 Evga 650w to the be quiet! Pure Power and don't really see any advantage, other than it being 15% more expensive and providing a higher max W. Are the benefits worth the extra 15%?

The Crucial MX is a terrific idea, thanks!

About the B450 - I want the entire system to be pretty quiet, the quieter the better ... can the onboard cooler fulfill that?

Thanks so much for ur answer mate

Motherboard doesn't include the cooler, the CPU does. The stock CPU cooler can run pretty loud, when really pushing the CPU, from my understanding. This is the only review I could find, but they used an overclocked 1700, with a healthy amount of voltage. The 2700x would be a cooler running CPU, imo.
