Hello all,

I am getting more and more interested in overclocking every day, and I want to step up from being a beginner overclocker. I have the intel i7-4770k (christmas sale 35% and 20% of all CPU's from my email Thanks newegg!) and the ASUS maximus VI Hero motherboard. As I have read, you need some basic knowledge (aquired form this site) and some cooling options that are not stock. I have equipped my rig with a corsair h110 so I can make use of the 280mm radiator support of my CM Storm trooper. And so my overclocking questions begin...

First, I want to say I know the basics as of core multiplying and voltage changing, and I also understand that not every chip is the same, in some statistics that I read from ASUS barely any of the 4770k's could get to 4.7 gigahertz and some didnt go past 4.2. From what I have collected, my cpu can reach 4.4 gigahertz at a voltage of 1.268V. The only settings I have changed in my BIOS are the core ratio limits (which are set to sync max ratios with each other) and my CPU core voltage override which are set at 44 and 1.268 respectively. As far as I know, the overclock is stable. I can play all of my fvorite games without worry and I completed prime95 small fft's for one hour and 10 run throughs with intel burn test. of all of this my thermals did not cross 67C.

The Main Question

How can I use the various overclocking features on my Maximus VI Hero? I've noticed things like CPU cache voltage, CPU system agent voltage offset mode sign, CPU analog I/O Voltage offset mode sign, CPU digital offset mode sign, and internal PLL voltage. everything else is straightforward and easy to understand but I need some help on those values listed above.

some other thoughts include that when I am monitoring voltages in the bios or even in AI suite III it says all of my cores' voltage are 1.280V rather than the input value of 1.268... Is this one of ASUS' features for stabilifying (Not a real word maybe) processor overclocks? Also I cannot find a stable voltage for anything >4.5. Anyways thanks for any help and feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks,
