Help needed with Win 7 reinstall on Dell

I am working on a Dell Inspiron 560 for a friend and I need to reinstall windows 7 on it, however my friend did not have the Dell operating system installation disc needed to reinstall windows 7. However, I have a copy of windows 7 (same version, Home Premium) OEM. Is it possible to use the OEM disk to reinstall windows 7 but use the Dell key on the machine to re-install windows 7?

The problem is, if you have an Oem disk for one computer.
It can setup a machine with the set of drivers for the hardware in that machine only.
If the hardware does not match. Installation of the Os may halt.
Oem is meant for a specific hardware setup.
And often the disk or setup is tied to that machine and its fitted hardware.

If your friends computer still has windows 7 on it.
Then press F8 to enter the extended windows boot options.

Select safe mode.
Once windows has loaded go to system restore.
You can choose a point as to where windows was first installed, that will clear all the garbage out.

Or you can select a system image if it exists on a hidden partition of the drive if none of the drive has been formatted. That will hold the Oem image for that computer and hardware setup.

Insert your DVD in the drive. Reboot the PC. Quickly press DELETE on keyboard so that you go into BIOS. Find Boot Sequence section, put the 1. Boot to DVD-DRIVE. Pres F10 to save. The PC will Re-Boot. Then it will ask you to press any key to boot from CD. Press anyithing and just follow the instructions.

Give it a shot. If you use the key on the side of the case you should be ok. I'm not sure if it needs the Dell CD, but you have nothing to lose.

The OEM i have it just one i bought off of newegg, it wasnt for the Dell. That still wont work? And windows 7 on the computer is corrupt that is why i need a fresh install not a repair. The repair service is part of what is corrupt sadly.
