HELP! New Build Not Working

I bought computer parts for a new build all new. I oroginally bought a z170 mobo thinkinh it could suppory an i7 7700 processor. I found out later it needs an update to bios to run anything beyond sky lake or i6. So, my brother bought a new mobo z270 and it turns on, but the monitors wont turn on. I have heard several things to why this is. The PSU doeant support the i7, the video card, which is a gtx 1060, the ram, which I have 32 in atm. Im unsure of what the problem might be.
