So finally after years i got the chance to upgrade my pc ,i am planning into upgrading into skylake but as for now i am running on an old asus p5k with an Q6600 , so i bought the r9 380 and while booting instead of letters is this http://prntscr.com/999lbg and then it boots into windows normaly i can play games watch videos etc etc . When i boot into the bios the bios seems distorted is it due the old motherboard or it could be the GPU?

I have that exact issue with an r9 390 on and older gigabyte board P55A-UD4P. I have been searching for a while and still have no idea what's causing it. However once i'm in windows I have no problems, and benchmarks are on par with what others are getting. Sounds like you're in the same situation as me. I wouldn't worry about it unless its giving you trouble other than the bios screen.

Well that is a relief so i guess old motherboard + new GPU's = distortion
