Help!!! Newly Assembled PC no display????

Hello Everyone....

Today I assembled my pc with...
Asus prime b350m-a mobo
Ryzen 5 1600
Gigabite gtx 1060 6gb
HyperX ddr4 2400Mhz (Single stick 8gb ram)

Everything was assembled perfectly.... My monitor only had a VGA and DVI-D port, GPU- HDMI and DVI-D... but I only had one VGA and HDMI cable.... I first connected my pc(via mobo) using a vga cable to my monitor and I saw vga input showing "INACTIVE". Later I tried connecting via HDMI cable from both GPU and motherboard to my TELEVISION. Still no Input was shown.. All components:Chase fan, cpu fan,Rgb etc are working fine. Only I m not seeing anything on screen.

Someone please tell me what can I do to fix the problem..

Connecting to motherboard is pointless, as Ryzen does not have iGPU.
1060 is not outputting analog signal, so VGA cable is of no use unless you have adaptive adapter.
Now HDMI: how you connected HDMI cable to monitor without HDMI port?
Anyway, if your monitor has DVI and GPU has DVI, your best move is to buy DVI cable.

Hi,
You have to use the card only. No integrated graphics available.
Try a DVI-D to DVI-D

Please post your full spec, including PSU and storage.

Which monitor do you have specifically? Does your monitor actually have DVI-D? I would assume it's a DVI-I connector on the monitor at best, which should still work.
The new GPU's are Digital only, and considering you attempted to use VGA, that won't work without an active converter in between (DVI-D = Digital, VGA = Analog).

There is no iGPU on Ryzen chips, so connecting to your mothoerboard won't work.

Do you have a TV around with an HDMI input? If so, try to connect your GPU to the TV via HDMI - do you get a display then?

If so, it's just a digital vs analog issue, and you should be able to rectify that by either:
1. Purchasing a DVI-D cable to run from the GPU to the monitor
2. Purchase a converter to take DP to VGA
3. Purchase a new monitor.

In this case something is not working in your build. Do you have motherboard beeper installed?

I would tell you to remove a RAM stick and test. I see tho you only have a single stick so try just moving the RAM to a different dimm slot. Test your different video outputs. I see you tested both the mobo and video card but did you test using the mobo without the video card installed? Just making sure its not a power issue with the video card.

The tv might not support low resolutions. You can use the tv after installing Windows and the graphics driver. Try purchasing a DVI-D cable and testing the monitor connected to the card, not motherboard.

Ryzen does not have iGPU. No way of making rig work without GPU.

I tried using HDMI for TV to gpu-no displlay.. I have a HP-21KD 20.7inch 1080p monitor my monitor has DVI-D(24+1) and VGA port.

It would not be power issue as I have 550 Watt psu which is more than enough. I would try Installing ram card to different slots

550W means nothing, honestly.

Many PSUs have outrageous claims on the label, when in actuality, they can barely do half of their listed wattage reliably.

I think I will buy a DVI-D cable and plug it later... Also will HDMI work only after I install GPU drivers? Also is Corsair vs550 is a good psu in my thought...

Hmmm, it's not one of the many outirght mislabelled PSUs, but it's not great quality.

Is the PSU new? If not, how long did you use it for?

Do you have your old GPU still, by chance? If it's something lower powered (like a GT710 or something), try it out and see if you get a display.

A VS550 *should* be capable of powering that setup, but stranger things have happened.

It would not be power issue as I have 550 Watt psu which is more than enough. I would try Installing ram card to different slots

Under normal circumstances a 550W is a enough but the PC would also work under normal circumstances. IE the PSU could be defective unless its from a know working machine. If you can test the PSU in another know working system just to eliminate the possibilty.

All my parts are NEW... also this is my first pc so I dont have any old GPU....

As for being "NEW" that doesn't mean they cannot be defective or DOA. Also, even if it turns out to be something other than the PSU, I'd suggest you return it anyway. That PSU isn't going to hold up for too long, even if it's operational now. There's likely better options at the same pricepoint, but we'd have to know your location (assuming it's not the US, as I can't find a single listing for a VS550 from any retailers now).
