HELP! No picture!

Just bought a Sapphire Dual-x R9 280 3gig, along with an ASUS 24in led monitor, installed it, booted up no problem got a picture no problem..

i normally have a monitor then my tv connected to my pc on my old sapphire 7770 card. monitor by dvi, tv by hdmi, everything worked fine..

this new card though will not output any picture to my tv through hdmi, but the hdmi works fine on the asus monitor...

does anyone know whats wrong? or any settings i should be switching around?

Really weird. Have you updated your drivers? If that doesn't work, I'm not sure. Probably has something to do with your Catalyst Control Center settings. Also might be worth a try to go to your TV menu settings and put them to the default settings. Still, I bet the driver's your best bet if those aren't up to date.

Do you have current mobo drivers and the current drivers for the GPU?

When you go into the control panel for the GPU, does it show the TV as a display?

windows claims all my drivers are up to date.. and when i booted up with my new card i had to go to amd and get the latest catalyst anyways...
i also tried switching to a resolution that my tv can handle before hand..

seems like everything is up to date, and it doesnt recognize the tv at all

Have you tried powering off, then back on the TV after the PC is fully booted and then trying in the catalyst control panel to see if the TV is seen? Also - make sure the TV is set to the proper HDMI port prior to power off/power on. Sometimes the TV/GPU may have a communications issue and trouble synchronizing the signal.
