Agreed, you're better off with an AM3+ mobo.
Get the Samsung 1TB, fastest drive of those. You won't be sorry.
Get the 955 unless the other is the same price.
Upgrade to the HD 6850.
Ram-get whatever is cheapest and free shipping. I picked up DDR3 1600 though for pairing with bulldozer when it comes out.
I'd recommend the logitech g11 minimum for gaming or the one I'm getting for my wife is the G110, very nice.
At a minimum I'd get the G500 but the Razer Death adder is very nice.
DON"T get Altec Lansing speakers. They are notorious for bad shielding. (makes a loud buzzing when near other wires) Creative is ok depending on which model, but I prefer Logitech speakers always.

I've been happy with Acer monitors over the years, but I went with an ASUS 24inch and I am a convert. Check out Asus for inexpensive monitors.

I definitely wouldn't get anything less than HD 6850/GTX 460 1GB/GTX 550Ti at this budget. One way to afford that would be to change the CPU to an i3-2100. It would be cheaper and perform the same if not better in games. You won't be able to overclock though. Just something to consider.
