Help on Asus STRIX 1080TI

Hey guys I got a question regarding my strix 1080ti oc. My gpu fan on the left and right spins on idle when im not gaming. As in it spins for a few seconds and then stops and then spins again and then slows down.

Middle fan doesnt spin on idle but when gaming under load all 3 fans spin obviously but on idle recently the left and right spins randomly.

Gpu temp 54C (on idle being 54 now these days) (when gaming max was 67C)

Motherboard Asus strix Z270f bios latest update 0906? Something like that

7700k
Nzxt x62

Im just wondering if its meant to do that spins on idle for a few sec then slows down and stops and then repeats over again. Card was new just had it 2 or 3 weeks now. Anyone who can help out or have the same card as I do.

Update: restarted comp just to try if it stops but same thing happens

your fans start to spin when you turn on your PC then when windows comes up and your nvidia driver kicks in , it takes control , simple as that

out of the box, the fans will kick in for a short while on boot then stop, then they should not be running until the GPU reaches 55C

Ohhhh... your idle temp is 54C?

In that case, yeah... if your idle temp is hovering around when the fans start, then yeah it's going to repeatedly start/stop the fans.

Have you got a warm ambient temp? That's fairly warm for an idle temp

That's completely normal, nothing to worry about. The fan curve on the 1080 Ti Strix starts at around 55-60C, where it will then start spinning. It will stop if the temperatures are below the mentioned amount, to make the fans last longer and reduce noise.
