Jello everyone,
I'm in the process of finally upgrading my Intel i5 4690k and I would like some advice on which direction I should go. I dont know if I want to make the switch to AMD, and I was looking into the 11th gen i5 since the i9 doesnt seem worth the price tag. I'm not looking to break my bank, and my budget is about 1000 dollars to get both the processor and motherboard. I was just curious though, does anyone think it would be worth it to instead get an i9 10th gen over an i5 11th gen? I dont quite know what the number next to the i means in i5, i7, and i9, but maybe some info about what I use my PC for will help.
I usually use my PC for gaming. However I am also in school for video game design and I use various software like unity, 3ds max, zbrush, photoshop , and I usually have multiple of the programs open at the same time.
