Hi there, Recently my old motherboard died was running on sandybridge still my trusty old i5 2500k still going strong but i do not feel like buying another z77 board is worth it so i will be taking the Skylake plunge and looking for a board that will last, preferably a couple of years.

Trouble is i am having a hard time choosing which motherboard to go for so was hoping for some help and opinions. I will be getting the i5 6600k cpu and am currently looking at the following motherboards:

Gigabyte k3

Asus z170-A
https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z170-A/overview/

MSI krait x3
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z170A-KRAIT-GAMING-3X.html#hero-overview

Also i just came across this offer so i suppose this is also an option now too
https://www.scan.co.uk/products/asrock-fatal1ty-z170-gaming-k6-atx-motherboard-plus-intel-i5-6600k-unlocked-skylake-quad-core-proces

I have looked at them all and when i feel i have settled on one i change my mind lol so i would really appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance.

The Gigabyte, Asus and MSI ones are all really good boards. I personally have a Z170A Krait (not the X3, almost identical) and I'm very happy with it. There's really no practical difference between them aside from a few ports (e.g. the Krait has 4 SATA ports whereas the K3 and Z170-A both have 6). Really just go for whichever one looks better to you.
