So, I’m thinking to upgrade my gpu and a friend of a friend presents a cheaper than usual card to upgrade with but I’m not quite sure if I should upgrade yet. My current card I have is a Radeon power color turbo duo r9 290x

The card being sold fairly cheap is as follows

I got the Radeon card for a bit over 300 around 3 years ago and the evga will be sold to me at 300 if I want to buy it. But I’m unsure as to if I should go with the evga or a different card or just not upgrade at all. Even with all the bad reviews on my current Radeon card mine has worked just fine with minor setbacks but nothing really requiring an mra. What do you guys think?

I was also thinking to use it for music production in the near future. I also wanted to try and somewhat “future-proof” it just so I don’t have to buy stuff again for another 3 or 4 years. Would that change anything with your setup idea? Thanks for answering all my questions by the way. Much appreciated!

I assume in order to get a CPU I don’t have to swap out for years will come with a hefty price tag?

For upgrading the gpu what should I wait for specs wise? Ideally I’d like to get something just as good or better for the same price that I got that 290x about 3 years ago which was around 330 or 350.
