Help on graphics cards.

could someone please explain to me what the difference is between these two cards? (i can read the specs but, how the one with more fans be different in performance, etc)

and how would it differ in performance if i went with say a 3gb gtx 1060, and not the 6gb?

Well performance wise, it slightly lower on the 3GB verision, but its basically the same. Also you honestly do not need a lot of fans for the GPU. I will say that in the future, games will start to use more VRAM, most games require 2 or 2.5, but if you want those beautiful games on 1080P, you are going to want the 6GB verision.

In a nut shell, VRAM is like regular computer RAM, but mainly used for graphics (think video games or modeling), it allows the GPU to process more images at a faster rate. The more you have, the smoother the processing will be. As of right now, 8GB of VRAM should be enough (more than enough). If you can get the GTX 1060 6GB (~$250) then you should be good for the next few years. I'm not an AMD guy, so I will always recommend Intel, getting an i3-6100 or i5-6400 with a H110 or B150 motherboard should do you just fine. It's budget friendly and gets the job done
