Hi, I hope someone can help.

I am upgrading my existing kit.
But wanted to ask three questions. I wasn't sure if I should ask in Motherboards, or Storage.
As it involves both.
Forgive if the wrong forum.

My existing Motherboard is

Running from a Sata SSD on Windows 10, which I am happy with on this rig.

In the new PC I am hoping to build I have ordered this motherboard.

I want to install a version of Windows 11 on the new M.2 I am buying.
But would like to install it now, before the new motherboard arrives. Using my existing motherboard, the MSI MAG B560M MORTAR

The three questions being.

1- Will my MSI MAG B560M MORTAR accommodate this M.2?

2- Wil I be able to put a fresh install Windows 11 onto the M.2 while attached to my existing board. (as long as it works with it
Without interfering with my existing Windows 10. As the M.2 with the win 11 OS will be transferred to the new PC when it arrives, and is built.

3. The new motherboard the (ASUS ROG Strix X670E-E) apparently comes with a "massive M.2 heatsink" which is shown on one of the pictures at the top of the Amazon page linked above.

Would it be advisable to buy the M.2 with the included heatsink version.

Or buy a separate heatsink. Something like this.

Or use the one that comes with the motherboard?

Thank you for any help with any or all of these questions.
I hope it makes sense.

Solution
1. Yes

2. DO NOT DO THIS. Tears will likely result.
You are saving exactly zero time, and possibly causing days/weeks/months of headaches.
Moving a drive + OS to a different system often fails.
Takes a whole 20 minutes to install the OS on the drive, in the system where it will live.

3. Use the motherboard heatsink that it comes with.
