Hey all, i'm getting ready to buy all the parts of my new build but i have a few questions that I need some help on. Here is the system at the momment.

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor (£143.99 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£129.00 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£61.38 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£47.02 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4096MB (£319.99 @ Scan.co.uk)
Case: BitFenix Shinobi ATX Mid Tower Case (£49.99 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 750W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (£65.99 @ Dabs)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) (£65.99 @ Aria PC)

Questions:

1: is the MOBO worth it or shall I save some money and go for the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

2: I am undecide on the graphics card. I'm not sure if the extra money is worth the sapphire 290 or I should stick with a Toxic 280x.

3: Will the PSU be good enough to support this build.

Any help would be massively appreciated. Thanks.

Well first off, that motherboard is probably not a good choice if you don't plan on overclocking. If you do plan on overclocking, keep that Mobo and get a CPU cooler. Maybe a Coolermaster Hyper 212 evo or 212 plus. Might even be worth getting an aftermarket cooler anyway if nothing. else but for extra cooling and lower noise.

The 290 looking at toms hardware review and others i have seen is a beast of a card; surpassing the 780 most of the time and close behind 290x. It runs hot though so might want to wait for a non reference design. at 1080p an r9 280X is gonna still be a great card, will run most games on high-ultra at 60 fps. I personally like a bit of overkill so would go for the 290.

That PSu should be fine

These are just my opinions, i'm no super computer expert or anything :>
