Hello Everyone!

I wish to buy a desktop PC with the following main components:

- MSI AMD Radeon R9 290X
- AMD FX8320 Black Edition 8 Core
- HyperX FURY Series 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1866MHz
- Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Motherboard

I want to know what kind of power supply would I need for my PC to run perfectly fine with no problems. Currently I'm looking at Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W Bronze power supply, is that enough? Any other suggestions? or how many watts am I looking to be getting?

Thanks in advance
- Mooni

The main deciding factor for PSU requirement is the graphics card. For a single Radeon R9 290X it needs to be at least a 600w PSU.

If your buying your PC ready-built it will already have a suitable wattage PSU installed, though not necessarily a good quality one so best to check it. Seasonic, Corsair or Antec are all high quality PSU brands which we always recommend on this forum.

Solution
wattage wise yes quality wise not so much cx are average psu for home ofice work not ment for overclocking and gaming so not good at loads.....if u want to get a corsair psu get the ax/hx/rm series etc... or simply get a seasonic or xfx psu....
