Okay guys, I already have a TP-Link router for my home network, but because of the fact that I have lots of valuable machines and valuable resources and functions on them, I am planning on upgrading my security a bit. So I figured I have a Linksys WRT54GL V1.1 router (Which is pretty old) unused, I can probably flash it into a firewall for my network. So couple things I need to ask:
1. Tomato or DD-WRT? Which one is better on security? And easy for new user? (I worked with Pfsense before but sadly it is not compatible)
2. How do I set it up? Instructions? ( I searched on the internet but most of them are for one router only, my is complicated since I am keeping the TP Link router as my inner "firewall" and the flashed router would be external firewall or DMZ if needed)
Thanks a lot!!!
(current setup: ISP --->Modem--->router--->User Network)
(The setup I want: ISP ---> Modem ---> My Linksys flashed which is the firewall ---> router ---> User Network)
