good day !

I have this WiFi device "FDG WiFi Extender, 300Mbps Mini Wi-Fi Range Extender Repeater/Signal Booster/WiFi Router/Wireless Access Point with External Antennas, Extends WiFi to Home & Alexa Devices "

https://www.amazon.com/Extender-Repeater-Wireless-External-Antennas/dp/B07C93BJ6K/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

I have this working as a repeater

I have set it up by finding Wireless-N connecting and going to 192.168.10.253

and placed it on a tree with a long extension cord

now that my WiFi password has changed - I need to update the settings but when I try to go to 192.168.10.253 nothing happens - just times out - like accessing any other random local IP

Chrome:
This site can’t be reached 192.168.10.253
took too long to respond.

from what I read

>"Repeater turns off the DHCP in repeater mode by default, which means it won’t automatically assign IP to equipments connecting to it. You have to connect your computer to Wireless-N Mini Repeater by RJ45 [OR HARD RESET IT]"
FOUND ON http://www.turobotdiy.com/index.php?main_page=faq_info&faqs_id=6

so the only way is for me to pull it down from a tree - and hard reset it?

maybe I can play around with my WiFi properties?

like manually setting "IP/Subnet mask/default gateway?"

must be some smart way of doing this VS pulling it from a tree and doing a hard reset with a pin :/

thank you ...
