just picked up a new Samsung 205BW and am loving it. i am running off a eVGA nVidia 6600GT and was wondering what the best way to optimize the setup would be.

i ran the optimization wizard in the display settings, to setup the brightness, gamma, color temp, and colors. first it says to run the auto adjust on the monitor when it puts up the test pattern. however the monitor syas that it cannot do it, i think becuase i am running it on a digital (DVI) and not analog signal. to adjust the brighness to what the wizard says i have to lower the brightness to almost 0 which doesn't seem right. the other settings seem ok though.

anyone know of a tutorial or program to help me set up my monitor. tyia!

Sounds like you're seeing it right. On DVI, you usually lose autotune and some other settings. Having to turn the brightness waaay down is common too. Try analog... you might like it better.
