Hello,

I'm new at overclocking. I've never wanted to do it but I know my PC can handle it. So I'm ready to take that leap and start overclocking my CPU and memory, but I need some help. I want to know how and what to do exactly to overclock my CPU to at least 4.0 or 4.2 Ghz and my memory to 1600 Mhz. I'll attach some screenshots of my BIOS in order to help you help me. Thanks The Q6660 Inside,

I'm a fan of Linus and I've already seen that tuto, however his MSI motherboard makes things easier because of the BIOS layout. My motherboard for some strange reason, even though my memories are 1600 Mhz, are recognized as 1333 Mhz. That make things more difficult for me. If someone could tell me what tweaks should I do on my BIOS that would be great.

Go along with the video, for each setting he puts, VCore/CPU voltage, DRAM voltage, etc, set it as well.

I did and I got this when I booted up: http://sdrv.ms/15SZM1A

I just changed CPU Ratio to X21= 4.2 Ghz
and And memory clock to X8.0= 1600 Mhz

I've tried less CPU ratio and it's the same error. I would appreciate if somebody could take the time to guide me step by step.

Thanks in advance.

since i own one to i found it can be easy if you go to the AMD site and download their very helpful TURBO OVERCLOCK UTILITY. I found my unit runs nicly at 4214 g by setting the multiplyer to 20 and juice the CPU to 3.89 volts.since i use a H80 not a 100 like you cooling will be fine.i just dont like the mounting of my cooling block, it sucks. going to upgrade soon, the new FX idles at 4200 and can hit 5000+.Get an ASUS Crosshair V. good stable board at high speed.
