Hey all ive been trying to overclock a Intel core2 quad Q8400 for the last week now and every attempt has ended up in a failure.
I have tried increasing the fsb to 400mhz and the clock multiplyer to 8.5 to reach the desired 3.4ghz but it only resaults in the computer not booting twice and then booting into default settings. I have also tried multiple values (tiny jumps) fsb 333mhz x 8.5 to get to 2.83ghz, fsb 375 x 8 to get 3ghz
I have increased the cpu vcore voltage to 1.3v during my process
My motherboard is gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT
