please, someone who knows much about partition tables, help me.
my secon partition has disapeared and its not the first time, the last time i repartitioned it with the linux mandrake partitioner; and now it has disapeared again, i want to save the data that is now disapeared in my second half disk. the hd is a seagate 10,2 gb IDE

When you say it has disappeared, does the bootup screen show your hdd as the correct size?, I dont know a great deal about Linux, but people that do tell me that Linux likes to spread itself out somewhat

yes, the bios show my hd as 10gb but the second partition is only unaccesible, fdisk says that its there but i dont know why i cant see it
i havent linux installed i only used the partitioner to restore my partition table
