I need your help guys! I want to know if my system will work properly and my components are compatible with each other. Also, Will i have any heat issues? My parts are going to be posted bellow.

Agreed that it's a nice build and that I would go 8 over 16gb of memory if you aren't doing any heavy editing. Also though I would suggest getting a better cooler, typically most people don't want to go below h100i for water cooling,

Yeah I was debating either 8 or 16, wasn't too sure but I'll just go with 8, if I need more i can always add more! I'm just a bit nervous since this is my first build!

Why are you getting a uATX motherboard and an ATX case? There is no compatibility issue, they'll work fine together, I'm just wondering about the reasoning.

I have no reason to be honest, its just what comes out the cheapest for me at the moment? can you tell me the difference between uATX motherboard and ATX case? not sure what that means thanks!

uATX (micro ATX) and standard ATX are the two most common form factors. The uATX is smaller than ATX. Your case can support motherboards of both sizes. So a full sized ATX motherboard will fit in your case. A smaller uATX motherboard will also fit.

The potential downside is, uATX motherboards typically have less upgrade options. If you get a standard ATX motherboard you would potentially have more PCI/Pci-e slots for expanding your system in the future.

That said, I myself have a uATX motherboard. But I have paired it with a uATX case as well, as I wanted a smaller compact system. So uATX has it's place.

The uATX motherboard you are looking at is extremely high quality, and a very nice board. To me though, seeing uATX motherboard in ATX cases just looks funny. Some people aren't bothered by how the system looks, and if that's you, then maybe the gryphon is the right board for you.

I posted in your new thread asking for a motherboard suggestion. Your budget for a motherboard is nice. $200 would allow you to get the Asus maximus VI hero motherboard. One of the best overclocking motherboards available, made with very high quality capacitors. In addition, it's onboard sound is a step above most motherboards.

If you are wanting to lessen the cost of your system however, there are some nice boards down in the $130-150 range as well. The Z87-A by Asus for example. Still a very high quality motherboard.

Thank you for that! I really appreciate it. Yes its a great card but sadly MAXIMUS VI HERO comes out $430 here in New Zealand which is a bit pricey for me. What would you think of ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 KILLER? Is it a good mobo? and also the ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 KILLER fits right into my price range! thank you again!

Well if your not overclocking there are a lot of changes I would make. First off just get the 4670 not the k version it's the exact same if you wont be overclocking and will save you about twenty bucks. Also just stick to the reference cooler your system won't overheat, there's sixty bucks. Then you could also change your mobo. I would suggest a full ATX board (I missed that earlier) and you could go with H87 or B87 boards which will also be a bit cheaper, but may not have some features that you most likely won't miss. With this money saved I would get a good SSD like a samsung 840 evo for $90, you will get equal performance to your current set up but with the plus of faster boots Nd loading times for anything on the SSD like your favorite couple games

Yes the fatality killer is a good board if you are planning on overclocking.

What is your total budget in NZ dollars?

If you have the budget, stay with a Z87 and a 'k' series CPU. Even if you don't think you'll overclock now, you may want to in the future to extend your computer's life. If however, you are on a budget, and want to save money, you could build a very different system based on a non 'k' cpu, and a H87 motherboard, bringing your price down as Jameson Clark is pointing out.

If you stuck to air cooling the cooler master hyper 212 evo is everybody's favorite budget cooler and the noctua nh-d14 is one of the best higher end air cooler.

Sweet that is good! Well right now I have a budget for roughly $1.7 thats how much the computer I want to build would cost but plus the shipping of the parts so it would be roughly $1750-1800! but i will add things on later on like sdd and SLI 770 SC once ill have more money.
