No, the R9-290 is not too much for the FX-8320. And you always can OC the FX-8320 very easily.

Btw, Rockie has a good build for the money. But I don't like the case... I have that case on a budget build.

No, I agree. The case is fine for that build. I just personally don't like it. Lol... just a personal taste thing.
