My setup is:
AMD 9790 4.7 ghz
EVGA 970 4gb
AsRock x99 killer
700w power supply
16 gb or ram
When I'm playing any high end game, it'll run fine for about 10 minutes and then the fps drops from 60 to 30 constantly. I have realized that my gpu power drops at the same time... And ideas?

Solution
The GTX 970 does have that 3.5 GB fast RAM and .5 GB slow RAM. Track it with EVGA precision or MSI afterburner and see if the RAM usage on your card is hitting that 3.5 GB limit when your fps goes down.

Unfortunately there's no real fix that I have heard of. It is something that caused a big stink when people found out about the GTX 970. The last .5GB of memory is slower than the rest of RAM so it does cause fps loss when it hits it. Maybe try a lower resolution or turn down some graphic options to lower the amount of RAM your GTX 970 uses and hope that it doesn't hit that 3.5 GB threshold.

I don't have a GTX 970 personally so maybe another GTX 970 user can help you with some input.
