[SOLVED] Help pc turned off randomly and wont turn on

Hey all, so i was idling on my home screen and randomly my pc turned off completely with the screen just turning black with no windows logging off signal. Now, if i try to boot the fans and lights blink for one second. I tried my old psu and the pc will boot but a red cpu light comes on and nothing else happens. Has my psu fried my cpu and itself ?

Specs are
Amd r5 2600
Msi b450 tomahawk
2x8gb of g skills v ram
Grx 970
Rosewill650w psu

So i just unplugged and replugged everything and it seems to work now? Could my cpu have overheated ?

It could have, but a failing power supply is more likely. Monitor your temperatures; sudden power-offs are typically temperature or power supply.
