Hey everyone,
I'm really hoping someone will be able to help!

I apologise in advance for the longer post, however, this is certainly a strange one.

I built a PC 4 days ago. Build went smoothly and the pc booted first time. Bios flashed as X570 needed flashing before installing other components.
Everything up to date and games running magnificently on ultra settings.

Today, when my PC was sitting idly, a short whole after playing a game, I got the following:
  • Black screen, no response from power button
  • Fans reverted to factory settings
  • Was able to boot after 5 minutes
PC returned to perfect functionality, back to 50+ FPS on Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K. Temperatures were reading perfectly fine across the board. After approx 1 hour, the same thing happened again. It's worth noting that the pc was idle at the time, with no games/apps running in the background.
My friend who works in IT suggested that the GPU may not have been installed correctly.
  • I re-installed the GPU.
PC returned to perfect functionality, no issues for an hour, until the issue occured again. This time, I noticed that:
  • CPU LED Appeared on the motherboard.
We troubleshot and my friend noted that I only had an 8pin connected to my motherboard from my PSU.
  • ADDED 4pin CPU cable from PSU to Motherboard
  • CPU LED disappeared from motherboard
But now...
  • DRAM LED Appeared on the motherboard
  • BOOT LED Appeared on the motherboard
  • PC does not boot
I'm now at a loss as to what to do.

What confuses me the most is that the pc has been working with no issues for 4 days and handling everything smoothly. I've had Hardware Monitor running to keep and eye on temperatures and not once has anything appeared out of the ordinary. It may be worth noting that all parts are new, too.
Other things to note: BIOS installed wasn't the latest version, but more recent version is listed as a beta.

PC Specifications:
  • AMD Ryzen 5600X
  • GeForce RTX 3080
  • MSI Mag Tomahawk X570 WIFI
  • 2X 8GB Corsair 3600 RGB RAM
  • Corsair H115i Elite Capellix AIO
  • Corsair RM850 PSU
  • 500GB M.2 Drive
  • 1000GB M.2 Drive
  • Windows 10

Any help would be really appreciated, I'm a nervous wreck...
