Help picking a new CPU cooler.

Hello internet.

I'm in need of a new CPU cooler and I'm looking at the EVGA ACX Active CPU Cooler. it looks hice and has good reviews. I was wonder If I could get any better value for money BUT still looking nice. Heres my case is the Corsair SPEC-03 just in case you were wondering. Also I would prefer not to have the cooler master evo 212.

Cooler master 212 Evo is one of the best CPU coolers going, it performs really good and it's cheap, why don't you want it?

Anyway another nice CPU cooler is the Be quiet Dark Rock 2 cooler, its silent, keeps my system cool and looks really nice.

I would buy the evo ,this may sound sad but it doesn't look that good and I like it too look good. Ill have a look at the Dark rock and tell you what I think

The dark rock 2 isn't that big are you sure you didnt see the pro versions with 2 fans, because they're pretty big.

It's only slightly bigger than the 212 evo and that is a pretty small CPU cooler.

Opps, that makes a more sense now. I was just wondering if you knew to difference between the cpu cooler I first posted and this one (dark rock)?

The fist one you said about uses 2 fans, and 2 grills and 2 more extra heat pipes, the dark rock 2 PRO has 14 heat pipes (Dark rock pro 3 has the same amount but placed differently) whereas the dark rock 2 has 12, although with the PRO they are spread out across the two grills, each containing seven and their own fan that pushes air through the grills and over the spread heat pipes meaning you get more airflow carrying the heat away from the pipes into the out take/ exhaust fans.

Thanks that's very helpful, but which is better. I don't know much about them and how they work.

Depends on what CPU you have, how much space you have, the Dark rock 3 pro is better as it's newer and most likely has a more effiecient designn + the extra fan although I use the Dark rock 2 and love it, keeps my system cool and quiet.
