Hey guys.

At first i was really interested in building a gaming pc but the more i researched it the more it intimidated me. Its a lot of money for me to drop and I'm as unexperienced as a person can be. So i switched gears and started looking at pre-built plans and I'm looking for some honest feedback on a few.

That first one looks like the best out of these but i could be wrong:

This next one i didn't look at any of the changes i could make but I'm not opposed:

Any similar options on that site (or any site) would do really I'm open for suggestions but i'm leaning towards the first ACER option i posted.
Finally what kind of performance could i expect from one of these or similar gaming pcs?

Thanks for all help and suggestions.

I live in Florida and i do have a friend that is good with computers but he lives in New Jersey. Do you have any thoughts on the pre-builds or is building really just the way to go?

The thing I'm concerned about is reliability, I'm not very tech savvy so if i make one myself and there is a problem it would be hard for me to pin point said problem. Plus with a prebuilt i could get a warranty and send the whole thing out when things go south.

But i really wanna focus on prebuilt options in this thread. So please anyone who has input on the above towers or similar priced builds its appreciated.

I know it might not be the way to go for my first gaming pc i think i feel more comfortable with that, and once i have one i'll switch out parts over the years and get more knowledge and my next pc i will build from scratch.

Food for thought:

I am a jarhead in every sense of the term....I priced a sweet alienware about 6 months ago and even got a few quotes from Dell over the phone. Researching the parts that came in the pre built on Google and Tom'Tom's I concluded building would be the best option. I have zero technical experience with computers (hardware or software)....

A few good folks on this forum helped me gather a list of compatible parts for my budget and I ordered them one or two at a time each paycheck. My graphics card came on Christmas eve....now I can proudly say I've built my OWN computer...it runs BF4 on ultra and I think it even looks better than the alienware I was looking at.

pre built is definitely the ez mode option....but building it yourself is more cost efficient, pride raising, and upgradable in the future.
