My computer will not boot past the loading screen with the green bar on Vista. I can’t even get to the login page. After a short time trying to load, a quick blue screen with about 5 lines of small text flashes and then the computer restarts. It’s impossible for me to read what it says. It’s not the typical BSOD.

Booting from CD and trying to use Startup Repair fails.

System Restore also failed.

In Safe Mode it stops at \Windows\System32\Drivers\BtHidBus.sys and the comp restarts

Good idea, I might try that.

The error I wasn't able to read earlier is: STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)

That is a good idea. I was assuming I guess that you didn't have another pc. What else you could do is to buy a new drive, reinstall onto that, and then hook the old drive up as a slave, or even get an external enclosure and install the old drive into that. What I would suggest is that you buy an external drive, and save your most important files onto that, as well as on your pc. Then unhook the drive after your saves. That way if this happens again, you have 2 copies.
