The 32" at 16:9 aspect ratio is much much larger than the 25" at 21:9 aspect ratio (almost double the size). In fact, the 25" (21:9) monitor has the same screen real estate (surface area) as your current 23" (16:9) monitor, and will be about 2" shorter but about 3" wider:

23" 16:9 MONITOR (Your current monitor)
Diagonal = 23"
Aspect Ratio = 16:9 = 16 units wide x 9 units high
Screen Height = 23" x 9 / [Sq.rt. (16^2 + 9^2)] = 23" x 9 / 18.36 = ~11.27"
Screen Width = 23" x 16 / [Sq.rt. (16^2 + 9^2)] = 23" x 16 / 18.36 = ~20"
Screen Dimensions of the 23" (16:9) Monitor = Approx. 20" wide x 11.27" high
Screen Surface Area = 20" x 11.27" = Approx. 225 square inches

The two monitors you are considering:

32"...

Screen Height = 32" x 9 / [Sq.rt. (16^2 + 9^2)] = 32" x 9 / 18.36 = ~15.7"
Screen Width = 32" x 16 / [Sq.rt. (16^2 + 9^2)] = 32" x 16 / 18.36 = ~27.9"
Screen Dimensions of the 32" (16:9) Monitor = Approx. 27.9" wide x 15.7" high
Screen Surface Area = 27.9" x 15.7" = Approx. 438 square inches (almost double the area of your monitor)

25" 21:9 MONITOR
Diagonal = 25"
Aspect Ratio = 21:9 = 21 units wide x 9 units high
Screen Height = 25" x 9 / [Sq.rt. (21^2 + 9^2)] = 25" x 9 / 22.85 = ~9.8"
Screen Width = 25" x 21 / [Sq.rt. (21^2 + 9^2)] = 25" x 21 / 22.85 = ~23"
Screen Dimensions of the 25" (21:9) Monitor = Approx. 23" wide x 9.8" high
Screen Surface Area = 23" x 9.8 = Approx. 225 square inches (same area as your current monitor)

Solution
The optimal size for gaming is to sit roughly the SAME DISTANCE AWAY from the screen that the diagonal is on a 16:9 monitor (different on Ultrawide).

The RESOLUTION should also be at least 2560x1440 (I don't recommend 4K to most people for monitors).

So if you sit about TWO FEET away get a 27", 2560x1440, IPS monitor (GSYNC, 144Hz etc depends on budget).

If you sit closer to THREE FEET get a 32" monitor, though it would be a lot more expensive and you could just get a 27" monitor and move it closer to the edge of your desk.

(If you meant 32" HDTV then don't do that. For PC gaming get a monitor. Not an HDTV. There's no reasonably priced, 4K HDTV that's 32" or less suitable for a desk... PC gaming on HDTV in living room is a separate topic)
