Help please, AGP side band addressing?

What does AGP side band addressing do? Or perhaps I should ask, does it increase performance? Are there any complications to it like instability?

To most, this is just asking for bugs and crashes, not worth the use.
Better off using things like AGP Aperture to 128MB or 256MB for GF4s with 128MB.
