Help please gtx 770

I just installed a gtx 770, haven't turned it on I connected the pciE cord into it, it's a 6 pin cord. To the right of the 6 pin on the card itself there is an 8 pin but I don't have an 8 pin. Do I just use the 6 pin I plugged in and that's fine?

No, you need to connect both pins. What power supply do you have?

Ok I found another PCI-E cord and this one had an extra 2 pin at the end. If I knew how to post pictures I would. So now there's a 6 pin PCI-E plugged in and to the right in te 8 pin spot there is another 6 pin plugged in with a little 2 pin attached to it that goes into the last 2 pins on the card since it's an 8 pin. So it's a 6 and 6+2 pin connected

But what's your power supply?
And yes, you could connect one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin.
