Help Please I Suck at Computers!

I have a win 8.1 pro with AMD FX-8350 8 core 32gb ram Geforce GTX 760

It freezes when shutting down or restarting... fast start is turned off as is remote access & there is no wifi, hibernate is also off

Windows defender will only run a quick scan, full scan freezes.... everything is updated to latest

SFC scan always comes up clean

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth found no issues

I refreshed the computer & reinstalled still have the same issues I also did a clean boot

Start with MEMTEST and verify your RAM. Then see if your hard disk vendor has any tools to verify the health of your disk drives.

Does booting to SAFE MODE have the same freeze?

No errors and yes it happens in safe mode

Check your Graphic Card's compatibility with your system. I had a similar problem years ago .I had an AMD graphics running on an ASUS/ Intel system. I tried an old Nvidia card & it worked, so exchanged graphics with a pal & both worked.
