hELP PLEASE IN NEED OF HELP

my laptop turns on and says acer you know and it comes to the screen with white writing and asks if i want to start up normally and it asks to fix a the problem and that its recommended i click on the fix the problem and it looks like it wants to load but then it goes to a black screen and i can still see the arrow from the mouse when i move it but it wont do anything else after that. what should i do im in school and thats my only computer someone please help

WI'll the laptop boot into safe mode f8??? If it does then it something in start up that damaged. Use msconfig go to the start up tab and turn every thing off if you can get into windows then turn on stuff one at a time till windows hangs again. If you can't get in by f8 safe mode try booting from a hirem USB boot stick. Run some tools and anti virus scan. If windows is damaged and can't be fixed use the laptop restore feature it be a f key at post. Before running it back up your personal data.
