Okay so long story short .. I pressed the clear cmos button on my motherboard because I had a code and someone suggested doing so. (I made sure to unplugged the power)

When I turned my pc back on it started to turn on then stopped then it started up and I was able to load the bios

After that it let me know that I cleared the cmos and told me to reset any of the settings I needed to. I reset everything the same way I had it before then I clicked save and exit. Instead of loading windows it says “preparing automatic repair” then after that it says “diagnosing pc”

Then it tells me startup repair couldn’t repair your pc and gives me a few options!

What do I do ?! Everything was working perfectly for 2 weeks.. it’s a new build.

Aorus gaming 7 OP Z370 is the motherboard

The problem may not be related to your clearing the CMOS but to a Windows update that failed. If it is the second option you will have to reinstall Windows, preferably after copying any files off the drive that you might need.

Okay I have everything done to to what you said until you got to the point that you said set it to efi post. Could you explain that part a little more please? I have a windows 10 usb if that helps any
