Help please, new computer, monitor issue

Hey, it's my first time attempting to build a rig. The monitor and the tower turns on but the monitor says no signal and the fan that came with the case doesn't work but the cooling fans are fine. I haven't installed windows cause nothing shows up. Maybe something isn't plugged in the right spot or something? any ideas?

Maybe. What components using? How have you connected the case fan?

The case fan is a 3 pin connector and I tried putting it on a few of the 4 pins on the mobo.
I have the GPU in the 2nd mount as the slot covers don't have screws and I didn't want to break it off.

Have you connected the monitor to graphics card, not to motherboard?

Did you plug the 8-pin PCIe power into the GPU?

Yes, I've tried plugging the HDMI into the graphics cards instead of the motherboard.
Theres a 6+2 with only 6 holes and a 4 + 4 that I put in the 8 PCIe from the power supply to the GPU with a 6+2 pin.

So I managed to get it going, installed windows the motherboard drivers and graphics card drivers, updated everything.. but I can't connect to the wifi. Do I need a wifi card? I thought the z390 had it built in?

No, that board does not feature it. You'd need a WiFi card.
