So over the past few months my PC has been freezing randomly. I have no idea why this keeps happening.

Specs are as follows:
DDR3 8GB (4x2GB)
GTX 670
Gigabyte 970A-D3 (rev 1.1)
Seagate 1 TB SSHD (Brand new, happened with old HDD too)
AMD FX - 4170 Quad-Core 4.20 GHz
64 Bit OS Windows 7
Corsair 650W PSU

I have run a Memtest, left it for 24 hours and didn't get a single error, I have cleaned out my PC with compressed air. I have also reapplied thermal paste to my CPU and Heatsync. I'd really appreciate some help and if you need any more information I'll gladly oblige.

What type of freezing are you experiencing? Are you getting a crash to a blue screen, any visual artifacts (ie. tearing or vertical lines)? Have you tried swapping out the PSU? Sometimes a failing PSU can cause some bizarre symptoms.

it's a complete freeze, no blur screen, no sound repeating itself, just the image stays on screen and needs a power reset. Keyboard commands also don't work. I will try swapping a PSU later today.
