help please problem with connecting to internet

so I buit my computer everything went fine with that
but now I'm running into some problems ( first time building a PC)
1. I can't connect to the internet I downloaded the LAN driver from the Asus disk that came with motherboard and I plugged in a powerline adapter into the motherboard and nothing happened still I don't know much about this topic so please help

Try to simplify things first:

Download the network adapter drivers directly from the manufactuer (probably Realtek).

If at all possible set up a direct ethernet cable between your PC and the router. Temporarily relocate the PC as necessary.

The goal is to first establish some network/internet connectivity to prove that the PC, its adapter, and associated configuration is working.

Then the next step will be to work on connectivity via the powerline adapter.
