no i did not . couldn't find the test system setup page to look at that.

if u have the link to the page .

i would be very thankful for the info and it'll help out any one ales how reads this thread.

thanks 4 helping all use newbies !!! :) :) :hello:

Your score seems about right, like obsidian mentioned, Toms uses a much more powerful CPU than yours, when i went from a C2D E8400 at 4.5ghz to a core i7 920 at 4ghz I gained an additional 3,000 points just on the CPU score of 3dmark06.

my cpu dose run most thing ok to good if theirs not more then 2 or 4 apps

on with cpu loads under 50% usage any higher

and i start to see bad lag in every thing running on the pc .

so a quad core would help a lot right???

thanks 4 the help every one !!! :) :) :hello:

getting a quad like a phenomII x4 965 will give you a noticable performance gain, but not in everything, for example surfing the web, using low CPU intensive tasks like MSN, or paint.

You'll notice the difference if you use photoshop or CAD, and you'll gain some more performance in games and of course 3dmark06.

my MoBo doesn't support anything over 95w cpus so no x4 black ed.cpus for me i think?

and no SLI/CFx for my MoBo just has one PCIe slot .

plus in need 2x2gigs of pc6400 or pc8500 DDR2 ram to i think?

newegg will cost me $190 for pc6400mem. and Athlon IIx4cpu or $260+ for pc8500mem. amd Phenom IIx4 945 95w cpu.

that's not to bad for upgrades with ram so high right now i think?

thanks for the help every one !!! :) :) :hello:
