Help please so confused!

So I recently got an i7 8700k in the mail along with a 212 evo, but as soon as I replaced my i5 7500 and went to turn on the pc, it quickly turns on then off! I thought it was the power supply so I upped it and went from 500w to 750w and still the same exact problem! Please help!

What motherboard do you have?

Your 8700K isn't compatible with the Skylake/Kabylake motherboards, you need a H310/B360/H370 or Z370 to run that 8700K. There was no reason for you to get another PSU.
