I am building my own PC and it will use 351w of energy. I need help picking out a good power supply. All I know is that gold rated is the best. Do I need to get as close as possible to 351w, or do I need like 500w or 600w. Plus, are all power supplies universally sized? Or are they all different sizes?

Gold rated is not necessarily the best.
With power supply questions you should list all the parts your going to use to get the best results.
A lot of times power supply calculators are wrong or you end up with one that don't have all the connectors you need.

A high quality 550 Watt power supply will work just fine this one is about the best buy right now with a 7 year warranty.
If you think you might add another 970 in the future then look at some 750 watts and buy it now instead of having to buy another later.
This 850 Watt is the same price as the 750 and same good quality but with a 10 year warranty and modular.

If it's in your budget add you a 250 GB SSD to your build you will really like it for the OS and programs then load everything else on the regular hard drive, like the Samsung 850 EVO it about 100 bucks. Your PC will boot in about 15 seconds and will respond very quick.
