HELP: problems accessing my debian vps through tightVNC

Hi guys
I'm having some problems logging into my debian vps through tightvnc viewer . I log into SSH /Putty without any problems but when i open my tight VNC viewer and click connect i get the message "authentication reason: too many authentication failure". I've been using vps for the pat 2years and i have never encountered this problem before until now. Please i would really appreciate a solution to this .

This error occurs after several unsuccessful authentication attempts. For security, the server blocks all incoming connections for awhile. You will want to set your firewall to block incoming connections. Check your tightvnc log file, I bet there will be lots of attempted connections from china 😉

You can temporarily fix by restarting tightvnc service.
