I just finished a built for a buddy: he got a E6600, 7600GT, 2gbGskillz, GA965P-S3,SATA Drive etc.
First the good news.....set up went thru smoothly, xp Pro was loaded and all drivers working as normal. Until yesterday, after 5 days of sound operation.
Got two problems
1. Every time I turn on the computer, CPU fan wont start (Beeping noise) 3 seconds until fan kicks up. After that i will also buzz one lasttime before XP is loaded.
2. Now my main concern... During normal usage ie surfing web plus using media player, it will randomly FREEZE (not just program but everything else like mouse cursor. It will only last +/- 5sec. then back normal.
I was playing CS night before and was killin' it btw,hehehe but day after is when glitch happening. I have'nt installed anything after that night......just setting up home network to our router.
I did discover after watching task manager/performance, under CPU usage Spike on Core 1 combined with random lockup/freeze. This occurs even on idle but a bit more once its flexing its musle like playing game and such.
Lastly im ready to completely redo and start again from scratch and reinstalll XP pro and it conitnues to happen I will probably the hardware maybe CPU who knows ... I'm still new to this game.
