What are you looking for? Thermal paper? Dot Matrix?
Need color?
What POS system did you need to connect it with?

The absolute cheapest tends to be an a4 dotmatrix printer kept under
the desk. Ribbons are large and more often than not you can adjust the
sprokets to tiny receipt size or buy paper that is perforated every
100mm or 200mm or so with the company logo and carbonless signature
copy depending on your receipt needs. Most comen I see are the Oki
data microline which are loud enough to scare small animals.

Star Micronics - the SP500 is their entry level unit. 9pin dot matrix.
Univesal power and serial or parallel or both depending on the model.

At least in the states it's price is reasonable. Citizen and Epson
also have models in the same price class.
