Hey, I'm just wondering what this set-ups' recommended wattage would be.

Intel i5 3330
1TB HDD
8GB RAM
Radeon r9 270x Toxic (Considering buying)
Advent DT2410 Motherboard

(Current PSU is 450W with a Radeon 6670)

Hey

Your CPU consumps 100W on max load
270x goes on 200W max ( toxic for sure )
+ 100W from all other components you are at 400W max usage

Get a 550W PSU, will be enough for your system.

A seasonic G 550W PSU is one of the best I had. Modular cables, 4 year guaranty ( if not 5 ) and It's seasonic - one of the best PSU makers.
:)

What about a Sapphire Radeon HD 7870? Would that run with 450W?

It consumpts 130W

They recommend 550W PSU, I would not go with a 450W,

I just forgot I upgraded from 450W to 500W. Would 500W be okay?

If I was you, I would not risk having a fully loaded PSU all the time. That will cause only problems.

If you want a more powerfull GPU you must* get a new psu :)

Sure that's why I have chosen a 550W :) from Seasonic. There will be place to breathe.

To RulesSpew and RandomTox - Thank you for input I have decided to return my 500W and implement my 450W until both my new GPU (R9 270X Toxic) and Corsair 600W Modular PSU arrive.
