Help remove or reset user logon password

But I only have a flash drive. I have no DVDROM. And this software requires me to purchase that product so I can have a full version for flash drive. The full version is only offered if you burn it on a DVD.

Any other free ways to do this?

I can just reformat the system, but I don't want to lose some of my files. That's why I'm looking for alternatives. Free ones if possible.

I just stated I don't want to lose some of my files. I think that's a given that it's MY laptop.

I own the laptop and I just forgot the password because it's been ages since I've used it. Currently using my desktop.

Malicious huh!? I'm even willing to reformat the system, which basically means I'm not after any secret/sensitive files.

I just want to save a few TV series' and MP3's. But anyway, looks like no one knows how.
