This thing is a beast, I build this computer around 2010, however I wasn't able to use it since 2013. Now it's overheating. I start taking it apart and I see why instantly.

The heat sink is no longer sitting on the cpu but rising above it.
Now to my question, how do I remove the nut? the screw has a flat top! It isn't that it's stripped even, it's just flat.

I've looked at the manual, http://www.coolermaster.com/xresserver01-DLFILE-P13021802639502-F1302210197e995.html however it doesn't really provide any answers.
It's an LGA socket.

The 4 nuts (1 shown in the first picture) are screwed onto a a bolt with a flat top and smooth round head. When I turn the nut, the bolt turns with it.
