I live in Argentina where imports are closed and I'm going to the U.S. in November and am looking for a new monitor and GPU.
I currently own an LG Flatron W2753V from 2008, which is too big and pales in performance when compared to newer LED backlit or IPS displays. I think I'd want to buy a 24". I don't care for 144hz, 1ms response time nor 4k.
My GPU is a Geforce GTX 260. It has gotten quite old. I don't game much nowadays, but I want to have a decent enough GPU for 1080p gaming that lasts me a couple more years.
The rest of my system is:
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-UD3
CPU: AMD FX-6300 (not overclocked, with stock cooler)
Memory: G.Skill Sniper 8 GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz
Storage: Samsung SSD 840 Evo 128 GB (boot+apps) and a WD 1TB for media storage.
PSU: Thermaltake TR2-600 (600W)
I'd like to spend no more than $400 total.
Thanks in advance!
Update 1: I wanna watch more movies and browse/work than play games. I've also read good reviews of Asus monitors.
