Help resetting my AC4 graphics?

My assassins creed 4 is set to 800 x 600 which my monitor wont work with, so when i launch it it just stays in my taskbar. how to reset graphics outside of game? Please?

Go to your documents folder and find the Assassin's Creed 4 folder. There should be a config file in there, delete it, and it should reset.

I have uninstalled the game but anyway try this method.
In windows 8
1. Go to This PC. (users in windows 7).
2. Go to Documents ==> Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag

In there open up Assassin4.ini and AssassinBlackFlagMP.ini files.
(I cannot single out any one because I cannot test it since I have removed the game)
In those files, make changes to these two

DisplayHeight=

The value should be exactly your screen resolution.
